After a busy work trip in Denver, we spent our weekend on a road trip to Aspen. It was off-season in the ski resort town, so accommodation was affordable, and the area was not busy.
We based ourselves at Viceroy Hotel. It was a beautiful place in a small town of Snowmass. As it was a quick weekend road trip, we did not have much planned. So we spent most of our time exploring the town and had a quick drive to the enchanting Maroon Bells.
Maroon Bells is magnificent. I could imagine myself living in a place like it. Beautiful mountains, tranquil lake, and lush forest. It was heartbreaking to leave. It was an extraordinary discovery that I never expected.
Food scene was not that exciting. Eating out can be a bit pricey and, to be honest, if you have access to a small kitchen, use it. There are more beautiful art pieces and local products to spend your money on than wasting it on overpriced restaurants.
